      Back-of-House Specialist/Inventory Control Specialist

Started as a Back-of-House Specialist where my job was to receive incoming and prepare outgoing shipments of merchandise as well as audit the sellable, demo, in-store use, and return-to-warehouse inventory.Earned a spot on the mentor team where I was tasked with the training and development of current employees and new hires on the policies and procedures of the inventory team. I was involved with the logistical planning for the mentor team, specifically scheduling the new hires in store and long term planning. I wrote a training manual for inventory training which was used across the market. I worked my way onto the Visuals team where I was tasked with managing the Demo and In-Store Use Inventory Database. This involved updating the database to add or remove inventory. I was promoted to Inventory Specialist in September of 2011. I was directly responsible for the inventory accuracy of the store, and insured its accuracy through the creation of a culture of feedback, open communication, and teamwork both within my team and throughout the store. I dealt directly with the supervision and development of my staff which consisted of four full-time and 5 part time workers. I also participated in the orientation program for all new hires within the store, and assisted with the training program across the market which consists of four separate stores. I also conducted a lot of research to determine the cause of variances and took corrective action to fix the errors that arose. Show less
