  As a tutor, I primarily focused on helping students with reading strategies at the university level. These students were all either first generation, low income, or had disabilities. As a first generation student myself, I was able to help guide students through the trials and tribulations that comes with university life. On top of focusing on undergraduate studies, I also helped students plan ahead for post-graduation careers/ studies. Since a lot of college is planning for the future, we also worked on graduate tests such as the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). Show less

  Microeconomics (EC 2201) has always been a difficult class for undergraduate students. Therefore, Supplemental Instruction (SI) is meant to help students through seminar-like sessions in order to help alleviate any struggles student might be facing. As an SI instructor, I was task as being a peer as well as a guide through the course. I took the course alongside the students and helped create study plans going over concepts covered in class, from a student's point of view. Shortly after switching majors to Economics, my professor saw my excitement and engagement in his Economics Statistics class, he decided to offer me a position as his student assistant. I was able to work with him to write/edit a Principles of Economics book using LaTeX , as well as plan for Economics Statistics class for the following semesters.

I have worked on a research project, "Cross-Cultural Differences in Social Media Use: Implications for International Social Media Marketing Strategy". As part of the project, I have seen how effective research should be conducted and have been trained in R and Qualtrics XM.
