Undertaking a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electromagnetic waves and their interaction with the environment. Particular focus on RADAR and other sensing applications. Thesis project completed on Ground Penetrating Radar, and Automatic Target Recognition using Spectral Feature Vectors for point targets. Worked with a small group of people focused on scene management, evidence collection and analysis of events. Had the opportunity to participate in exercises, teach Canadian and international students, as well as update policy. Was posted to and employed at CFSME within the Tactics Squadron. During my time there I had the opportunity to teach, mentor and interact with new engineer officers, and senior NCOs. I was given the opportunity to lead and manage a troop consisting of approximately 30 specialist engineers. During this period my troop and I conducted multiple exercises and training events I was employed as the training officer within the CIED Sqn at 4 ESR while I completed a significant amount of training required for my upcoming role as a troop commander. Completed 12 months of training focused on teaching, evaluating and testing my ability to lead small groups of military engineers on a variety of projects. During this time I conducted multiple evaluated training scenarios involved on the planning, managment and leadership of engineer activities.
