During my time at University I have founded and been president of the Southampton Caribbean Society for 3 years. This was initially started after meeting a few Caribbean students and having discussions on how they felt ‘excluded’ or that there weren’t any dedicated forums. The society has gained over 60 members creating a network of Caribbean students and alumni as well as anyone with Caribbean a background. Collaboration with multiple other cultural societies such as India Society, Punjabi Society, Women of Colour Society and Ghanian Society to promote and educate others about our culture and heritage Show less

Gained managerial and analytical skills working as contractor and project manager on a small-scale construction project overseeing Structural loads and project cost. This project I worked on was based on a scaled, 10m high version of the Millau Viaduct. This project was done alongside 3 other projects - The Gherkin, Canary Wharf and the Kingsgate Bridge, getting insight into all the construction methods as well as management, communication and leadership roles. This was headed by the University Of Southampton and supervised by the staff. Show less
