  This was my first job in print, went for this instead of joining the railway and following in my dads footsteps - A good introduction to the world of work for me I did a 4yr City & Guilds apprenticeship on day realease basis in Sheffield and attended Psalter Lane College. Iworked on Platens doing loads of numbering and ticket jobs , also Typesetting - Old School!!

  Worked here after being made redundant, got the recommendation from the Print Union NGA , worked on 2 and 4 colour presses as second minder also did letterpress work and thermography

  I went back to work here after being made redundant again ! and got a call from the director, I was set on to run litho presses , GTO 46 and KORD doing a variety of jobs from 1 colour to 4 colour process .

  Purchasing outwork Print , customer service , Print advisory , purchase orders , handling a Print spend of 150k + , liaison with outwork suppliers, designers and external customers, assisting in Print tenders , sourcing and purchasing promotional and gift products for University varsity gift range , Producing Print estimates with an average of 70% conversion .Instrumental in sourcing a Made in Sheffield range of products for University . My Charity work for the University included Cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats in 2014 and Running Sheffield half marathon as part of University teams. I was also Health & Safety Representative for UNISON at University of Sheffield branch . Show less
