      Duties included: Thermal Spraying components using more technically stringent processes for Rolls Royce, Pratt and Whitney, General Electric, European Gas Turbines, Snecma, Vickers, National Oilwell and The Ministry of Defence. The spraying of high quality hard coatings using proprietary Carbide processes. Research and development of new processes and applications for the thermal spray field. Responsible for uploading/downloading of programs for scan and traverse units by computer. Liaising with Metallurgical Laboratory to ‘fine tune’ coating characteristics as per requirements. - Development of coating system parameters.- Create ABB robot and large 3 axis scanner programmes for the thermal spray applications- Developed coating methods for complex geometry - Maintain, service and troubleshoot all equipment and processes- Work with Sulzer Metco on calibration- Metallurgical Experience – Process approval by Test piece evaluation Show less
