    • Prudential Financial

      Aug 1999 - May 2002
      Agent

Studied and passed the Life, Accident, Health, Property & Casualty Insurance licensing exams, as well as the Series 6 and 63 which allowed me to educate and sell variable investment products. I did all of this within 8 weeks of being selected into the new hire program. I also studied Prudential's full line of products during that time, with the intention of a quick start. I was the first of 8 to put commissions back into my pool of start-up funds we were granted in our new agent contract. I received New Agent of the Year honors my first year, and I was also the only one of eight that progressed passed 14 months. I received several monthly awards for having the highest board volume during the 2.5 years I was an agent. I thoroughly enjoyed building presentations and I can present to audiences of 2 or 2000. I am also very proud of the customer service I provided my clients after the sale and the services I provided the existing Prudential clients that had no agent. I like to help and it shows.I have always regretted my immature decision to leave the insurance business at 22. I am so passionate about it and I am very excited to have the opportunity to begin again, this time building a great team here in Oklahoma City and all over the U.S. I'm backed by the largest agency and insurers in the United States. • Airgas Medical Services

      Jun 2013 - Jun 2014
      Buyer/Inventory Specialist

I studied project drawings and specifications with project managers to determine materials, parts and equipment needed to complete Medical Gas installation projects of every size by the local Airgas Medical Techs as well as installation techs at other Airgas Medical locations in Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, southern California and Florida as well as medical facility personnel, and mechanical contractors all over the U.S., in Korea, and several projects at the Naval Hospital in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I coordinated and carried out all the shipping and receiving duties, researched equipment specifications and requirements, provided technical support as well as maintained the warehouse where all parts and equipment were received and stored for most construction projects both local and all over. Inventory for retail distribution was also kept and I distributed parts via World Ship all over. Being known as one of the very few Medical Gas parts distributors in the area we had a lot of walk-in business to attend to daily, I didn't always have what was needed but would research it, find it, and get it to the customer as soon as possible. #resourcefulOne year after I was selected, my position and several others were no longer needed do to the closing of several offices around the country lessening the workload of the headquarters in Bethany, OK. Several of us were given notice, but before I left I continued to make improvements in the warehouse and kept up relationships I had already established with vendors, mechanical contractors, doctors and medical facility personnel around the country mainly, I'm proud to say I have reconnected with some.. • Hahn Cook... Funeral Home and Rose Hill.. Park

      Jun 2014 - Apr 2015
      Family Service Counselor

Family Service Counselor's for SCI are responsible for bringing in new business to the funeral home or cemetery for prearranging or at the time of need. I sat with and assisted cemetery and funeral home clients and families through the difficult process of making final arrangements. Most often I served families of someone that had passed away, of course the most difficult time to make arrangements, referred to as at-need. In addition to dealing with the loss of a loved one, the at-need conference involves a lot of paperwork etc, not even to mention, families, friends, pastors, etc often having to figure out how to cover the costs. It was heartbreaking sometimes, but I found that sitting with families in the arrangement conference and helping them through the very difficult decisions knowing what they were going through rewarding and I know I impacted the lives of several Oklahoma City families. I considered it an honor to stand with them the day of their loved one's service and would always attend.. I'm very grateful for this opportunity, it reminded me how much I enjoy working with and helping others. Show less
