  Successfully completed building a testing apparatus and measuring the coefficient of thermal expansion of concrete cores samples off of bridge decks for the NCDOT. Currently, I am constructing a test that will quantify the risk of early age cracking in concrete due to restrained shrinkage, with an ultimate goal of modifying properties of concrete to reduce restrained shrinkage cracking. In addition to my research, I assist grad students in their research with materials and structures.
