  As a medical intern we do two types of duties:1- Administrative DutiesUnder the direction and guidance of a healthcare supervisor, our duties are but not limited to:-Communications: we convey required information to patients, supervisors, coworkers, and others through postal mail, e-mail, telephone communication, and personal interaction.-Documentation: we document information in both written and electronic formats. This involves the ability to use computers and software programs.-Maintaining health records: we complete and update patient charts and other records.2- Clinical Duties:Under the supervision of a physician, nurse, or established medical assistant, this may include:-Preparing patients for examinations: we take patients to examination rooms, take and log patient vital signs and medical history, explain procedures and sometimes we are responsible for setting up examination rooms before and after the resident doctor's arrival..-Laboratory tasks: we collect and handle samples for pathological testing as well as assisting with injectable medications for patients.-Managing supplies: we are often responsible for sorting and organizing laboratory materials, keeping examination rooms stocked, and inspecting the structure and integrity of medical implements.
