Actively engaged in collaborative research to establish a neuroscience unit focusing on the impact of infections and pollutants on cognitive development.Currently, a research fellow on ongoing studies identifying biomarkers associated with lower cognitive scores in pediatric participants in western Kenya, and investigating the effects of prolonged asymptomatic P. falciparum parasitemia on cognitive performance in Kenyan children.Additionally, providing geospatial support for a study identifying sources of heavy metals in drinking water in western Kenya, aiming to enhance understanding of heavy metal impacts on cognition.
