  BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: Started my Forestry Firefighting career as an FF2, then became a FF1 and Sawyer Class B over the next few years. Became registered with FIMA, and eventually earned and qualified for the position Engine Boss / Crew Boss. I along with crews have been dispatched on fires in many states across the Western United States, each with varying hazards, fuels, topography, and challenges. I enjoyed helping people and communities in need, serving side by side with fellow firefighters saving homes, property, livestock, and natural resources. Working safely as a team to accomplish task assigned. Being part of something bigger than yourself, while making lifetime friends and memories along the way.WAY I THINK: A straight shooter. I refuse to say something you want, or like hearing just to tickle your ear. Honesty is, and will remain the best policy, even if you don't like what you hear at first. I avoid long term problems, by setting a good foundation of honesty right from the start. This is the best way to avoid problems down the road, and enabling us to move forward together successfully. Not into wasting your time or mine. If I like you, trust you, and believe we can have a mutually beneficial relationship then I'll let you know. However, if I don't like or trust you, then I simply won't allow you to waste my time by letting you suck up my time, or oxygen around me. I have no room for liars, and people with a lack of humility. I don't want to hear excuses, just solutions to overcome mistakes and unexpected situations. That being said, I greatly appreciate working with persons who have a mindset of team cooperation and effort to completing task given to the best of their abilities. Working with ethical standards, that won't hinder the vision and goals set out by the team. Also, I believe in the work philosophy of, "I have time to do it right the first time, but no time to do it over". So if it takes a little longer, so be it. Show less
