  Wholesale power modeling and analysis in US and international markets for valuation, transaction support, and policy analysis. Emphasis on ERCOT, CAISO and Mexican wholesale markets. Topics of interest:ERCOT ORDC market construct: I frequently run and experiment with stochastic loss-of-load modeling and scarcity price projections, especially with the effects of increasingly renewables. I've also created a model to evaluate risk in wind hedge contracts, given correlations in wind outputs and effects on scarcity, for valuation and negotiation purposes with banks or other hedge counterparties.CAISO bilateral contract market: for transaction support, I study recontracting potential based on load zones, CPUC mandates, supply/demand needs, and market conditions.Deregulation in Mexico: I think this is fascinating to watch happen in real time.
