I handled a heavy caseload of commercial disputes from inception through conclusion, and was promoted to partner (first non-founding member) within three years.REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS:➤ Recovered ~$3M in a Ponzi scheme case involving 70+ lawsuits on behalf of a bankruptcy trustee. In re Janitorial Close-Out City Corp., (Case No. 09-72982).➤ Won $252K+ in a trademark infringement claim where the owners of failed restaurant opened a new business using the same name. Tulis v. Gordos North Restaurant Corp., 632 B.R. 1 (Bankr.S.D.N.Y. 2022).➤ Granted summary judgment, in part, on a fraudulent conveyance claim against a New Jersey casino that received money from a failed pharmacy to enable its owner to gamble. LaMonica v. Harrah’s Atl. City Operating Co., 618 B.R. 408 (Bankr.S.D.N.Y. 2020), aff’d and remanded, in part, 20 Civ. 7009 (JPC) (S.D.N.Y. Jul. 19, 2021).➤ Succeeded in claim to have a significant amount of retirement funds credited to an employee’s pension fund that had been stolen by cyberthieves.➤ Persuaded American Express to credit back $100K+ to an elderly couple’s personal credit card used by vendor to make unauthorized purchases.   I was recruited by this well-respected boutique litigation firm based on the breadth and depth of my commercial and bankruptcy litigation experience. I manage complex, multimillion-dollar cases from inception through conclusion, including handling all aspects of investigation and prosecution of litigation claims.
