      Food Runner

      My job as a food runner was to help prepare food in the kitchen and bring it out to the customers in the theater who ordered it. I also swept the theaters, mopped the kitchen, ran back and forth from the kitchen to the theaters to retrieve condiments and drinks for customers, and did anything else that was asked of me.

      Student Brand Ambassador

      For the 2021–2022 school year, I worked for The HistoryMakers as one of their inaugural student brand ambassadors (now known simply as brand ambassadors, per my suggestion 😉). In this capacity, I conducted research into the extensive HistoryMakers digital oral history archive and wrote weekly blog posts about what I discovered. I also coordinated an oral history contest on the Northeastern University campus and helped run the HistoryMakers booth at the 2022 conference of the Organization of American Historians (OAH), which was in Boston that year.       The Joseph E. Nettles Journalism Scholarship University of Richmond Aug 2017 This scholarship was established in 1982 as a memorial to legendary Richmond journalism professor Joseph E. Nettles by one of his former students, Paul Duke, a well-known journalist and now retired television news show moderator. Nettles started the journalism program at Richmond and taught in the program for more than 30 years. The scholarship grows each year. Some years the scholarship goes to one student; other years it may be divided among as many as six students.
