  Assisted a PhD Candidate with a fish population study on Virginian Black Sea Bass. Job duties included fish species analysis, dissection of samples and maintaining database applications. Accomplishment: The completed Black Sea Bass study provided commercial fisheries and its legislator's key information on major demographics, such as fecundity and age, resulting in an analysis on the present and future condition of the Black Sea Bass population in the Greater Hampton Roads Area.   Located park project sites independently, and identified and targeted invasive plant species to be surveyed, mapped, and treated with specialized herbicides. Collected information on targeted species to be entered into the APCAM (Alien Plant Control & Monitoring) database. Presented educational outreach programs through demonstration plots, displays, field tours, meetings, in- house training, and web-site development. Accomplishments: Pursued study for Licensed Certifications included: Herbicide Licensing, Chainsaw Licensing, and Fire Ecology Licensing within the states of Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia.   Serviced approximately 65 students within the City of Columbus to provide environmental education after school programming. Created lab experiments and activities relative to lessons in agriculture, wildlife, pollution, conservation, and environmental careers. Coordinated field trips and guest speakers for each topic covered within the KEEP curriculum. Accomplishment: Lead the largest school collectives for the entire KEEP program.

  Ruby White serves as the founder and owner of Jazzy Greens, LLC. The mission of Jazzy Greens is to promote urban food production and increase opportunities for organic food supply and distribution in low income communities. Through Jazzy Greens, Ruby has worked as a community food educator and urban garden project director for the past 10 years. Her dedication to farm-to-school programs has helped to raise approximately $100,000 in grant funds as well as receive 1st place awards in both youth gardening and community service for past food justice-based projects.
