      Participated in a Homeschool Co-op: The Georgia Education Program for Homeschoolers (GA-EPH). Through this program I took all of my gen-ed classes with specialized instructors. Homeschooling allowed me to live in England for two years and take classes at a British Homeschool program and learn first hand about other cultures.

      My responsibilities included building key components to the competition robot and planning outreach events. I was heavily involved in building FTC robots for 3 years which involved prototyping, fabricating, constructing, driving, and wiring. I also coordinated and ran events for rookie teams and young children as well as taught peers about branding and the importance of outreach.

      I worked closely with the Novelis Innovation Strategy team to build new ways for different departments to streamline processes for years to come. My first project was to rebuild and redesign an Incident Report form for the Novelis Reliability department. - Build a form in InfoPath connected to their SharePoint intranet so tools like smart cascading lists, and email submissions can be used. - Wrote an in depth maintenance packet for the department will be able to update the form in the future if needed. - Learned how to utilize programs like Access, InfoPath, Excel, and SharePoint.       Safety Captain

      East Cobb Robotics is an independent FIRST Robotics Competition team based out of Marietta Georgia. I was the team Safety Captain, on the robot build team, and Chairman's presentation team. - As Safety Captain I coordinated, delivered and tracked safety training for the individual team members.I also provided support for safety concerns and understood how to operate safety equipment onsite. During competitions I ensured that every team member practiced safe habits such as wearing safety glasses at all times and keeping the work stations tidy.- As a member of the build team I designed and fabricated parts for our robot. - I gained experience using heavy machine tools including the lathe, mill, miter saw, and english wheel.- The Chairman's award is the highest ranked award at competitions. In order to be considered for the award each team has to write an essay and short answer questions, as well as create a video and present in front of a group of judges at competitions. I worked on writing the essay and short answer questions. I was also one of the three members on the presentation team. Show less
