ACHIEVEMENTS• Led the development of the Transport OT T10 set of threat-based security controls specifically focused on OT. Authored TfNSW technical guidance for the application of NSW Cyber Security Policy to operational technology (OT). • Called out opportunities for improvement in OT cyber to senior leaders that hold us back from a fully integrated and harmonised approach to cyber security. Gained support for two investment briefs to better identify and communicate the level of security of OT assets and services. • Following a rail level crossing fatality proposed and gained support for the trial of an innovative low cost geofence-based advanced level crossing warning system. Show less ACHIEVEMENTS• Led and coordinated TfNSW’s response to the Security of Critical Infrastructure Bill 2020, formed a cross-cluster strategic security working group to position and prepare TfNSW for the enactment of the Bill. • Initiated and championed digital tools for the visualisation of complex relationships between stakeholders, clients, customers, and document artefacts. The use of the digital tool was commended by the Asset Management Branch Senior Leadership Team as it simply and powerfully conveyed key information necessary to inform their decision making.• Led the information architecture working group, to support the operationalisation of the TfNSW Standards Management Framework, which brings together disparate architectures across TfNSW and former Roads and Maritime Services (RMS). When implemented, this project will enable a contemporary communications portal supported by rich metadata, with insights and analytics being provided back to the business.• Provided authoritative technical advice in relation to accessible customer information to the Commonwealth in the new reform of the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport (DSAPT). Show less ACHIEVEMENTS• Led the development of TfNSW technical standards for cyber security for industrial control systems to support the Digital Systems program and the Future Transport 2056 vision.• Provided authoritative technical advice in relation to cyber security for industrial control systems to Cyber Security NSW (NSW Dept. of Customer Service). The advice informed NSW Government policies including the NSW Cyber Security Policy and NSW Internet of Things Policy.• Authored AS 7528 Interior Communications for the Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB).• Represented Transport for NSW in engagements with the Critical Infrastructure Centre during the development of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Bill 2017. As a direct result of my input a key change to the definition of critical electricity asset was made which exempted railway electricity distribution networks from the Bill.• Led a voluntary employee working group commissioned by the Executive Director to understand the underlying reasons for significant deviations in branch results in the People Matter Employee Survey 2018 and to make recommendations for improvement. The recommendations were mutually agreed between the working group and the executive, and an action plan implemented. Show less
