  Reporting to the Local Operations Manager as a Surveyor I would identify, source and securing both long term and short term business opportunities whilst maintaining a customer focused service, a large part of this role was account management/after sale care. Surveyors were responsible for developing the new business opportunities within both the current and new customer bases in accordance with the Rentokil Pest Control sales strategy. I would undertake a comprehensive initial training programme within an agreed timescale and continue to develop technical knowledge on-going. Whilst in this role I achieved a number of notable accounts. It was my ability to deal both business to business and face to face and at all levels which gained me a high number of sales. Also my ability to learn and understand quickly a client needs and be able to present an overall solution. During my time in this role I won highest overall sales in my first 6 months, it was this that led quick advancement within the company. Show less

  My role is to manage waste and recycling service providers to deliver a world class solution for the M&S account whilst remaining committed to M&S Zero to Landfill policy.I'm responsible for 18 waste/transport businesses providing collection and segregation services across the UK for around 250 M&S Stores. While having day to day contact with all contractors, I also implement and conducted monthly review meetings to help drive actions and improve service. I also visit M&S stores to audit/assess the services provided by the contractors, as well as conducting audits and training with M&S staff regarding segregation and recycling. I manage a waste bulking operation within 5 M&S Distribution Centre. Waste and recyclables are back hauled from around 250 stores and processed, segregated and bulked to provide revenue. Among these 5, I manage the equipment DC. This has all store equipment returns. This was a high volume site running 24 hours. Managing an onsite team for segregation. Working closely with this team ensured maximum value return back to the client, also cleaning contractors that delivered this service within the distribution centre would also fall under my daily management. I also carry out weekly audits of each site ensuring that cleaning throughout the sites were being delivered as per the specification.I was involved in the mobilization of a new food waste process across the whole M&S estate that delivered a £2m cost saving versus the previous process. This involved surveying stores prior to roll out, engagement and education with store Operations Managers to ensure the change and strict process were followed.
