  Conventional Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes models suffer from severe drawbacks, particularly while modeling highly separated turbulent flows or flows with sharp accceleration. As a part of this project, high-fidelity Direct Numerical Simulations are used to train a Tensor Basis Neural Network(TBNN) to predict the Reynolds stress anisotropy tensor. TBNNs are designed to enforce rotational invariance by formulating the stress tensor as a combination of isotropic tensors.
