I would attend their panels and assist them in completing their panel recommendations while coordinating care as needed and providing supportive services referrals.As a case manager assistant for the New Haven Juvenile Review Board (2013-2015), I assisted case managers in preparing intake packets, creating case summaries for their client's panel, and I helped their clients complete their panel recommendations.   As a victim advocate/crisis counselor for the Victim Service Center of Central Florida, I provide individualized services and resources to victims of sexual assault, violent crime, and traumatic circumstances through crisis response, advocacy, counseling, support groups and community awareness.The Victim Service Center of Central Florida is also the Certified Rape Crisis Center for Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County, so I also tended to the 24/7 Sexual Assault Helpline and responded to forensic collections of evidence as needed. In 2021, I was promoted to Senior Victim Advocate/Crisis Counselor. As the Senior Victim Advocate, I:- provided case management supervision as needed- assumed supervisor on call duties as needed- created the on call schedule for the 24/7 Sexual Assault Helpline on a monthly basis- represented the agency in community panels, outreach events, and task force meetings- acted as the task supervisor for undergraduate interns- developed onboarding protocols to efficiently train new hires on the agency’s acute services- assisted the agency’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Coordinator in developing an algorithm for AdventHealth Hospitals in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County to aid ER nurses in responding to patients disclosing occurrences of sexual assault.   As a Youth Case Manager for Zebra Youth, I will be assisting homeless youth in obtaining and securing housing through the Brighter Days Rapid Rehousing Initiative.
