I was also a teaching assistant for Introductory Biology Lab and a research assistant in Christian Jobin's lab. As part of my research project, I investigated the role of diosgenin, a natural plant product, in reducing colitis in mice. I also evaluated the effect of diosgenin on gut microbiota composition to determine whether it creates a more ideal microbial balance.
