  Work with developing States and in particular Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in addressing their needs to strengthen national legislation, institutional set up, and MCS systems and operations with respect to port, flag, coastal, and market states responsibilities to combat Ilegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU fishing) through the FAO Global Capacity Development Programme for the implementation of the Port State Measures Agreement (PSMA) and complementary instruments and tools. Carry out project work on fisheries and aquaculture legal frameworks for conservation and sustainable utilization of fisheries resources. Undertake normative work including advocacy and technical assistance work relating to implementation of international instruments for conservation and sustainable management of natural resources and other instruments, in particular, fisheries related international instruments. Support endeavours in outreach and knowledge sharing and exchange.
