I strive to build interpersonal relationships with diverse groups of people within various roles and functions of each hospital. This helps me to understand how Stryker can better serve their needs and become a true business partner. Once these needs are identified, I then work to leverage product and procedural knowledge gained in Marketing to offer solutions tailored for each customer. This allows both the hospital to reach its goals in advancing patient care, as well as drive top line revenue performance to which I am responsible. Core product lines within our portfolio require me to be consistent presence within surgeries as they may occur in an “on-call” work environment. Customer bases include Neurosurgery, Oral & Maxillofacial, ENT, Plastics, and Oculoplastics. This was supported via the creation of selling resources such as educational marketing material emphasizing FBV over competitive products in the marketplace. Mediums for this strategy included the creation of hard-copy literature, videos, mobile applications, and a comprehensive training program designed around three phases of intensive in-person training and testing. During my tenure as a Marketing Associate, one of my responsibilities was the presentation of this material to CMF's newly hired Sales Representatives and Associate Sales Representatives. Live training material revolved around anatomy, product, and selling strategies.Additional job requirements included the representation of Stryker at both medical education sponsored events as well as customer engagement conferences for four different medical specialties country wide. Primary responsibilities at these events were to engage and support physicians from the standpoint of each product’s components, indications, contraindications, and instructions for use. Leads gathered from these events were in turn distributed to the field for local follow up.
