      Karwei is a well-known Dutch hardware/do-it-yourself store where I worked next to my studies. My main responsibilities were sales, customer service and giving advice on our products. Another important activity was preparing and maintaining the display of products that were on offer. These products accounted for 30% of the weekly store revenues. When I developed myself at Karwei I got the responsibility of leading 3-5 colleagues. Through my work at Karwei I learned how to proactively deal with customers, obtained experience with in-store marketing and sales, gained insight in the effects of marketing and promotional actions and other processes within a business.       ProductIP is an internationally operating company that offers an innovative product & social compliance management solution to manufacturers, importers and retailers of non-food consumer products. After completing my thesis on the further internationalisation of ProductIP, I started working for the company's marketing & communication department. In this role I was involved in the further international roll-out of ProductIP on a daily basis. I mainly focused on the set up and implementation of the online marketing strategy but also performed several other marketing related tasks. Voir moins The title of the thesis that I wrote as a graduate student at ProductIP is: ‘The internationalisation of ProductIP’. For this thesis I carried out market research in England, France and Germany in order to determine the best opportunities for ProductIP’s further expansion abroad. Based on this research I advised the company on the best country to enter and the appropriate market entry strategy. Initially, I started with a project to further embed car accessories and financial services within the business of ŠKODA Netherlands in order to increase sales. Activities included setting up a marketing, communication and sales strategy, defining KPI’s, setting up reporting, defining processes and describing roles and responsibilities. While implementing the first project I started additional assignments as well. Examples of projects I did include: Setting up marketing campaigns, launching and managing a webshop for car accessories and setting up an in-store accessory wall concept for all dealerships in the Netherlands. Furthermore, I performed several product marketing related tasks such as market and competitor analyses and I have been closely involved in the commercial launch of the new KODIAQ SUV on the Dutch market.
