  Week Long Placement. Observed live output of BBC Reporting Scotland during the news at 6 pm and the John Bettie Radio show, from the Gallery's. Was introduced to dubbing, editing and researching while in the Children’s, Sport, Alba and Online departments. Further learning the roles of the Marketing and Communication department. Finally planned and filmed a short independent piece. I learnt a lot about jobs and roles that I had no prior knowledge of before. I enjoyed most watching the live output of the BBC Reporting Scotland as I was watching the Producer and Directer queuing the show but also coming up with plans to cover the 30s they were under by.   Work Experiences Floor Manger on IBC TV

  Worked at the International Broadcasting Convention as Floor Manager working on the Live TV show broadcasted online. My role was to set the seating depending on guest and presenter location. I also worked with welcoming guest and bring them onto the floor. My main role though was to be the eyes and ears of the director on the floor. During this week I got the chance to walk around the convention and to get a site into the broadcasting world. At the end of the show was part of the get out team packing all the equipment to be shipped back to the UK Show less
