      Under a licensed psychologist’s supervision, I conducted clinical interviews, administered and scored complete psychological evaluations, and wrote comprehensive psychological reports for the Family Court. The psychological evaluations consisted (at a minimum) of testing intelligence, academic achievement, personality, parenting skills, trauma history, and substance abuse. Populations Served: children, adolescents, and adults affiliated with Child Welfare Services (CWS), victims and perpetrators of sexual, physical, emotional abuse, and neglect, low SES, multi-cultural and ethnic minorities; Hawaiian, Pacific-Islander, Asian, Caucasian, and multi-racial ethnicities; personality disorders, mood disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, substance abuse and dependence, and clients with mental and physical handicaps.       Provided individual therapeutic services to a diverse clientele while under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. The weekly case load was divided equally by spending ten hours assessing patient’s symptoms to manage psychopharmacological concerns with mood and mental illness. The other ten hours were spent providing individual psychotherapy to new and long-term patients. I received individual, group, and peer supervision on a weekly basis from two supervisors.       I was part of a team who developed and implemented a school-based therapeutic program that provided individual, group, family, and multi-family therapy to at risk youth and their families for drug treatment and prevention in a middle school and high school setting. I collaborated with case workers, law enforcement, Child Welfare Services, school systems, the court system, and the local community to build a coalition to prevent adolescent drug use. My other responsibilities were to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for the Juvenile Drug Court and Family Court, as well as to participate in weekly group and individual supervision to hold case consultations and treatment planning to promote healthy family systems.
