  Civil Engineering Intern

  As a summer intern, I was able to work with design and project engineers on multiple subdivision site projects across North Texas to include drafting, designing, revising, and the distribution of plans to various stakeholders. I helped to create various sheet sets for different projects and had extensive experience in updating and adjusting previous plans to meet stakeholder intent. I also had extensive experience in the discovery stage where I helped to created various price estimates through quantity take-offs for multiple projects in order to create decision-ready products for stakeholders and the project engineers.   I worked at LJA for a second summer as a Construction Management intern, where I helped to monitor and manage multiple subdivision construction sites. I had the opportunity to attend and work within many construction sync meetings involving developers, the city, subcontractors, owners, and other construction managers, where I helped to coordinate the timeline/phasing of tasks, resources, and mobility throughout the construction site. In addition to helping LJA's construciton management team in coordinating with the city and subcontractors through these meetings and site visits, I also had the opportunity to conduct site analysis in order to ensure proper adherence to original design plans. This involved keeping track of various construction phases throughout a section, in addition to verifying finished work, in order to maintain transparent communication from the site to LJA, the city, and other stakeholders.
