  As the Senior General Manager for Bata my job was to run the flagship store successfully as well as train the new Store Managers for the region. Working on the shop floor, I was in constant contact with my clients and staff. I was responsible for ensuring my staff give ultimate customer service as well as I monitored the financial performance of the location to ensure we are profitable at the end of every fiscal year.My General responsibilities included, recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff, managing budgets, maintaining statistical and financial records, dealing with customer queries and complaints, overseeing pricing and stock control, maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, preparing promotional materials and displaysand liaising with head office etc.I was also responsible for opening concept stores called "Bata Solutions" which were very successful.   As the General Manager for Athletes World (Bought over by Sport Chek in 2013), I was responsible for managing both the revenue and cost elements of my Store. I recruited great talent that are acting as retail leaders in various companies. I was also responsible for bringing new prospects into the store via outreach and events which in turn helped us maintain our double digit increases year after year, both in top-line sales and bottom line profitability.

  Assistant general manager

  As the Assistant General Manager for the flagship location on Alberni Street I am responsible for ensuring our sales targets are met on daily basis. I work side by side with the General Manager with all company and store initiatives. One of our initiatives is to host a client event every month that would attract new prospects into the store and gives our stylists a chance to convert them into Regular Clients. Another initiave is to support the BC Children's Hospital. In 2017 we assisted the hospital with raising $7 Million for the kids. We also volunteer at the Miracle Weekend every year under the banner of Brooks Brothers. Because we are so well connected to the community and are always focused on the outreach, the location stands as the most productive in the country year after year. Show less
