Two year rotational staff nurse post around the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, solid based tumor wards. Care of patients with different malignancies. Gained experience of different solid tumour groups and treatments, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Completed key academic modules at Napier University including the Nature of Cancer and administration of cytotoxic medication at Level 6.

  My role was to lead the implementation of the national peer-reviewed chemotherapy standards; the chemotherapy measures (considered the gold standard of oncology care) to The London Clinic's chemotherapy service. Involved in service development, audit, staff education and patient clinical care.I was lead nurse on a project of the development and implementation of the chemotherapy e-prescribing system -mosaiq.I provided opportunities and training for other clinical staff; supporting the Clinic's nurses in updating their chemotherapy skills in line with the latest research and standards. As a trained practice treacher I undertook competencies assessment in clinical practice; connecting the practice-theory gap.In my clinical role I was involved with clinical assessment for patients due to reciev chemotherapy or presenting with clinical symptoms due to side effects of there disease or treatment.
