  Mentor for International Students

  Together with two other students I was a mentor for about 70 international students who did an exchange programme at the Danish School of Media and Journalism in the Fall of 2016. The experience was both fun end educative.I was also a student in an international class myself at the time and that combined with being a mentor has given me friends all over the world and a peek into countless cultures. It expanded my knowledge about the world, people and other cultures a lot, and it made me want to do an exchange programme in another country myself. Show less

  I did an 18 months internship at the local newspaper Horsens Folkeblad as part of my journalistic education, where I spent the first year at the Hedensted newsdesk and the last six months in Horsens.During my internship I learned incredibly much which all has helped me to become the journalist I am today. I have to a great extent learned to find interesting stories and persons that the readers need to know about myself instead of being dependent on press releases.That has for instance led me to plan and write several series of articles myself - for example one about the many Eastern Europeans in the municipality of Horsens. I have also made series of articles in groups with other journalists.During the 18 months of internship I have concerned myself with all thinkable topics in a journalistic context - everything from sugardaddies, refugees and waterworks to local elections, vikings and children who drink anti-freeze. It has made me very versatile.The internship has given me knowledge about an immense amount of topics I had barely heard about before, while I have also worked with infographics and digital tools a lot to make the articles more visual and easier to understand.I have also produced several videos for my articles, and I have taken pictures for some of them as well.
