Three stand out in my memory--one was hired away from Northwestern University, another from Stanford, and the third was a former editor for the Saturday Evening Post. What a great time and a great graduate education--which ended up focusing on media management and media writing. Show less

      Marketing Account Manager/Writer/Producer

I retired from AREVA at the end of 2014 to research multiple creative opportunities. In the 90s, the name of the company was Framatome, and now it has been changed again. In 2019, I am completing a unique communications message analysis tool, securing the pending trademark for its exclusive approach, and resuming the completion of a book detailing my research-driven, yet straight-forward methodology. My recommendations here prove that I am more than qualified for the task. So what happened? Why the wait? First, my career has taught me that thorough analysis works better than shooting from the hip. An accurate approach to research exposes presuppositions, and leads to digging deeper. Taking shortcuts weakens the end result. Second, candidly, I am a survivor but also a thriver, by the grace of God. I started this work earnestly during 15 and continued through the first part of 17, despite battling multiple illnesses and surgeries. When the unexpected happens, you either cave in or fight through it and continue to set goals. And you never give up. I encourage you to challenge the current communications status quo. Stop relying exclusively on social media, tweets and re-tweets, rushed messages, and reactive efforts. Well-balanced campaigns and intentional relationships win contracts and customers. I have remained current on developments in the field (check out who I follow and the groups to which I subscribe). When a challenge delays your goal, that does not mean it is denied. That means you learn more along the way and the process will evolve to completion at the right time. Soon, you will discover how my READ IT strategy applies out-of-the-box principles to strengthen your targeted messages and energize results. Show less
