      Candela Laser is a manufacturer of medical lasers that grew from $6 million to $35 million in my three years as Manager of Financial Accounting. With three international subsidiaries, I was responsible for financial closings and consolidations, internal and SEC reporting, general accounting and cash management. I managed a cash turnaround where we successfully improved a net borrowing position to a cash surplus position and reduced past due accounts receivable from 79% to 5%.

During my time as Controller, we reduced the financial close by six days, transitioned the Finance function from a transaction-based perspective to an operations-focused philosophy and developed a series of internal controls that allowed for properly managed revenue growth from $35 million to $210 million in my seven years at the company.

As Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the $35 million Worcester, Massachusetts division, I was responsible for all Financial, Information Technology and Procurement operations. I managed the due diligence and integration of the former privately held company, The PresMet Corporation, as it was acquired by GKN. During my tenure, I led the implementation of a full suite of Oracle financial and manufacturing modules, directed an operating expense control initiative that increased operating margin by 770 basis points, and streamlined the financial reporting system. With 24,000 employees and operating in 35 states, we are the second largest provider of these services in the United States.As Senior Director, Project Management, I developed and staffed the first operationally-focused Project Management Office in our industry. The role of our PMO is to manage projects that benefit Operations Finance and Field Operations. Examples of projects that our team managed are deinstitutionalizations of state hospital systems that will add $60 million in annual revenue, margin improvement initiatives, accounts receivable reductions, implementation of software and processes to increase our recruitment of foster families, redevelopment of our therapeutic youth treatment model, and development of numerous dashboards to succinctly present operational and financial results.. I was responsible for a $21 million operating budget for our Corporate Administration Group.
