Served as a Crew Chief (6173), Flight-line Mechanic (6113), and Plane Captain at HMH-362 on CH53D helicopters, then served as a Ground Safety Manager and Statistician at MAG-24 headquarters. Deployed to Japan (Okinawa and Mainland), the Philippines, India, Thailand, and Guam. Participated in two Presidential Support Detachments in Kyoto, Japan and Hyderabad, India. Was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and two Certificates of Commendation for going above and beyond in the execution of my duties. Transitioned to a GS-5 position at the Deployment Health Clinic assisting with pre/post deployment health assessments.Deployment Health (Current Duties):-Administer Physical and Mental Health Screening Exams to USMC and USN service members before and after deployments-Track Mental Health, TBI, Neurology, and Substance Abuse referrals-Create and Maintain Provider Schedules-Work closely with units in the Camp Lejeune area to schedule them for Deployment Health Assessments and to provide them training on the Deployment Health Assessment Process for our clinic as well as for our sister clinic-ANAM-Use Electronic Medical Record/Charting, Scheduling, and Testing Software (AHLTA, CHCS, EDHA, and MHS GENESIS)-Assist Patients via Telemedicine as well as in person-Have been the Clinic Supplies Representative for the entirety of my time with the clinic.
