      • Responsible for orchestrating all aspects of completion of $100M, 1.15M man hour, 45 week Post Shakedown Availability for USS AMERICA (LHA 6) to include the re-institution of Steel Shot blasting methods on L Class Ships in support of the application of Flight deck Non-skid, and experimental Flight deck heat resistant coating system by removing barriers, minimizing work stoppages while maintaining schedule and maximizing the Navy Return on Investment. Responsible for the completion of 570 work items, 89 Alteration Installation Team (AIT) activities and 771 test events during the PSA period. • Successfully led a diverse team including NAVSEA Ship’s Design Managers (SDMs), Technical Warrant Holders, SUPSHIP Project Engineers, AITs, Regional Maintenance Center personnel and contractors. Overall responsibility for the most critical and highest visibility Surface Ship repair effort in the entire PEO SHIPS portfolio and developing and presenting bi-weekly briefs to PEO SHIPS personally. Under my leadership, the LHA 6 PSA team was awarded the 2016 Acquisition Excellence Field Activity Award by the Department of the Navy. Show less • Served as the Landing Platform Dock Ship (LPD 17) Program Manager’s Representative responsible for coordinating all SUPSHIP Gulf Coast oversight and management activities for the LPD 17 Program supervising no less than 100 personnel. Oversaw construction of three 25,000 ton amphibious warships in two principal sites. Led government on site team of over 150 personnel administering in excess of $15B in total contract value. Conducted Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) for LPD 23-25. Managed milestone readiness for all key events. Conducted detailed risk analysis and Event Based Readiness Reviews (EBRR) for all key milestones. Managed Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) database system. Reviewed Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), critical path analyses from contractor providing recommendations to Program Manager. Managed development of Ship's Custody Transfer Document (DD250), tracking all deficiencies and developing Government estimate for withholding. Provided engineering support for Post Delivery Availability (PDA), Post Shakedown Availability (PSA), and Final Contract Trial (FCT). Reviewed test and trials plan for Builders Trial (BT), Acceptance Trial (AT), and FCT. • Responsible for LPD 25 trials team receiving 5 “Best in Class” Equipment Operating Conditions (EOC) scores and ZERO “Starred” Trial Cards during their Acceptance Trials, making LPD 25 the first surface combatant to do so in over 30 years. Responsible for Trials team achieving three (3) perfect demo scores of 1.00. Responsible for achieved completing this task in a closing shipyard with a diminishing workforce. Responsible for greatly improving the quality of the LPD Program as whole with LPD 25 having the lowest number of deficiencies at the time for any LPD with a 21% reduction from the previous best and the LPD 25 New Construction Team earning the NAVSEA Excellence Award for the 3rd and 4th Quarter of FY13. Show less • Served as the Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Production Test Officer overseeing and verifying the completion of all shipboard testing leading to the delivery of USS INDEPENDENCE (LCS 2). Responsible for cost-effective conduct of the HM&E test program on LCS 1 and LCS 2 by identifying and obtaining required resources, monitoring overall progress of the program, and coordinating/conducting successful Acceptance Trials.• Served the Project Manager for the very first Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) for the first of class Littoral Combat Ship USS FREEDOM (LCS 1). Led a widely scattered team of 25 Military/Civilian personnel. Coordinated between NAVSEA Ship's Design Managers (SDMs), technical warrant holders, Supervisor of Shipbuilding Gulf Coast (SSGC) engineers and Program Office personnel to achieve and maintain $25M, 6,500 man-day availability. Successfully completed three rigorous independent SSGC Engineering and QA Audits, as well as NAVSEA 04/05 critical review.• Hand-picked to oversee and manage the first ever 100% work certification of a surface ship availability with Objective Quality Evidence equivalent to the certification efforts associated with nuclear submarines.• Served as the Post Delivery Test and Trial Officer coordinating 12 different contractors and supervising no fewer than 18 civilian personnel, totaling 136 man/days to support 20 Contractor Demonstrations for Final Contract Trials (FCT). Responsible for cost effective conduct of HM&E test program on LCS 1 and LCS 2 by coordinating/conducting successful FCT. Responsible for the oversight of over 200 Contractor and Ship's Force demonstrations created by Lockheed Martin and LCSRON ONE for the Special Trial for the first of class Littoral Combat Ship USS FREEDOM (LCS 1). They orchestrated much needed improvements and repairs to USS AMERICA that could not be accomplished during construction, including First-of-Class technology improvements such as Joint Strike Fighter modifications, Thermal Spray Non-Skid Application, installation of the Amphibious Assault Direction System, medical capability improvements, and installation of the F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System. They introduced a modified time-saving steel shot blasting method to support application of a flight deck epoxy Non-Skid coating system that set a new standard for future availabilities.
