      SADRAS enables students and staff to work in partnership in the design and implementation of research, to enhance the academic experience of students and collaborative research experience of staff at the university and to make a positive change to the learning experience at Kingston.Working alongside the Kingston University catering department (Elior) and a fellow team of nutrition students, a nutritional analysis on the canteen food was carried out to create a ‘traffic light system’ to easily highlight healthy and unhealthy food options being served in the canteen. This was to help illustrate which foods could be altered for a healthier option.Involved using Nutritional analysis software to produce a breakdown of nutritional components of a wide variety of foods the canteen sold.Due to the large volumes of food, I gained many skills through this project including the importance of teamwork as it took a lot of dedication and time to produce.Overall the project was a success as the canteen rolled out a range of healthier meals and snack alternatives.
