  Acted as project management in the transition of legacy messaging systems to up to date systems. Saved the organization over $300,000 anually in maintenance costs by aggressive consolidation, streamlining, and centralizing of operations. Created and administered training to a team of junior system administrators. Served as a network analyst and systems administrator in a NOC, overseeing the migration of organizations from Windows NT to Active Directory. Acted as a subject matter expert in the transition from Microsoft Exchange 5.5 to Microsoft Exchange 2003. Monitored network usage, links, and outages for a network spanning the entire Pacific. During my time as a senior system administrator at Fort Shafter, I planned and performed upgrade of Microsoft Exchange servers from Microsoft NT Server platform to Microsoft 2000 Server platform. It was at this time that I developed and implemented a disaster recovery plan for our site utilizing Veritas BackupExec software. The recovery plan that I developed was then set as the standard and implemented at all our sister sites.
