Advised successful and active Student Council, encouraging and supporting student leaders in their efforts to improve school spirit, strengthen faculty/student relationships, boost reputation of school within the community, and enhance members own skills as peer and service leaders.Chaperoned two EuroTrips with groups of high school students. My primary roles included maintaining student safety, encouraging their exploration of the world, and working with other chaperones and tour guide to ensure successful experience. Chaperoned middle school students on bus trip to New York City and Washington D.C. Like with the EuroTrips, my role was one of team member charged with safety of students, maintenance of schedule, and encouragement of students' appreciation of this opportunity. Show less

In this capacity, I taught Comprehensive Language Arts Level I and II as well as Drama and Leadership.   In this brand new incarnation of the Upward Bound Math and Science program, I taught English Level I and II. In an effort to align with the Math and Science goals of this program, I structured my courses around student-driven experiments that provided the vehicles for the reading, research, writing, and communication skills inherent in an English course.
