      Responsible for Global systems strategy for UBS listed derivatives sales and clearing. Managed IT development, system operation and support (total 25 staff). Promoted to Director level, 1/1/98. Working closely with business management, designed the new business data flow and processing required for a new global derivatives clearing system. Managed the implementation of the 1st stage of the subsequent project, including: design and set-up of implementation and support teams; contract negotiation and systems testing (working closely with operations management). Budget £1M. Show less • Design of a re-engineered centralised pan-European Treasury settlement solution utilising straight-through, automatic processing;• Designed replacement business process and organisation for funding of proprietary securities trading in UBS London, to bring significant financial benefit by centralised funding rather than individual trader funding of positions and profit-making off “internal” traders. Potential savings between £2 – 5M, dependant on trading;• Designed and managed the transfer and integration of French derivatives settlement, from a 3rd party broker onto the existing London clearing system. Saving FF and preparing for subsequent closer of the Paris office;• Established a development team (5 persons) to produce a workflow investigations system using object-orientated technology;• Established a LOTUS NOTES system development team (6 persons) to provide fast business information sharing solutions, e.g. global sales leads.
