Tasks on site include answering attendee queries, managing a team of staff both on service desks we have set up and patrolling amongst the participants during the event.       Managing a very small team of technicians, I am the Hospital TEL (Technology Enhanced Learning) Officer, based in their Education Centre and medical sciences library, which deals with the ongoing training of medical students, nurses and doctors. I deal both with the current and future direction of IT and Audio-Visual tools involved with medical education, along with video conferencing equipment and other suitable hardware devices, as well as ELearning, mobile learning, apps and other types of software. I manage a Simulation Suite of rooms, featuring computer controlled mannikin / robots, along with multiple camera recording and debriefing studio. I also am actively involved with running the simulations, both in the suite and 'in-situ' around the hospital, including when desirable and possible, taking part by role-playing either the patient or a 'fake' member of staff. I work closely with our Learning & Development Department, Clinical Education Team, am part of QuEST (the simulation service) and also am involved with assisting and advising Heatherwood & Wexham Park Hospital.
