Empowered civilian employees to take charge of their careers and provided a quality path for service members to pursue voluntary education. Managed an annual budget of approximately $11M.Key Accomplishments:- Established the Career Investments Division. - Developed CG policy for the Voluntary Credentialing Program. Launched the VCP and began reimbursing enlisted members for credentials.- Initiated CG participation in the U. S. Developed Implementation Plan and contributed to policy for launch of Department Joint Duty Program.• Led the reorganization of Coast Guard exercise support capability as part of the most sweeping modernization effort for the Coast Guard since World War II.• Developed and implemented a training and qualification program that produced world-class contingency exercise planners.• Developed the first ever standard operating procedures for Coast Guard exercise support.• Developed a command-wide Emergency Notification and Personnel Accountability policy. Created a collaborative website for emergency coordination that provided secure storage of recall data and a means to communicate between FORCECOM senior leaders during contingency situations.• Improved Coast Guard preparedness through the development and support of three National Level Exercises, one Spill of National Significance exercise, and over 73 District / Sector level exercises.• Developed and implemented new management procedures enabling entire Division to Telework. In only five months, Division averted more than 1,500 hours of commuting, saved over $39,000 dollars in commuting expenses, and spared the environment over 54,000 pounds of pollutants with no negative impact on mission performance.
