  For the 2024-2025 academic year, I will be representing Aspiring Solicitors at my University. I will be promoting any events they hold, and can answer any questions people might have about this fantastic organisation. I took part in 2 virtual talks designed and delivered by Aspiring Solicitors on the key skills needed when navigation application season. This was followed by 5 different tutorial session where in small groups, focused on how to succeed in gaining a vacation scheme and then hopefully leading to a training contract. A three day virtual course designed to prepare us to be successful in gaining a vacation scheme or training contact. Day 1: Effective written communication delivered by Aspiring Solicitors.Day 2: LexisNexis training session on effective research.Day 3: Commercial awareness webinar followed by a Q&A session with solicitors from Atkins and A&O Shearman.

  I worked directly with the in-house legal team for Fulkrum Ltd to review and flag any potential clauses that should be amended in a contract. After reviewing the contract on my own, I met with my supervisor to discuss what I had highlighted. This was an invaluable experience that will help me in the rest of my career into corporate law.
