      Worked on a load of random software and database projects that were somewhat related to geology. Built APIs before the marketing hype called them that (we used to call them web services). Stuff to do with digital maps, boreholes. I wrote DTM query code I'm still using to this day.Also, special mention for the database of Graptolites I tried to monetize. Would be called Graptolites.ai now. Crazy times 😎

      After years of studying strategy and innovation best practice (or 'self help books', as someone put it), I tried to help other teams to care about the customer, and to strive for outcomes 🫣 When I read Marty Cagan (if you know, you know, but if you don't know be careful, because you can't unsee it), I persuaded my line manager to change my job title to Product Manager. Leading a team building 3D geology software. Sometimes the team was just me plus cool boss. When it included other people we had a great time, including building the Groundhog software (which the exec team really hated having to name in meetings).
