  • Since March 2018 I have been giving high quality IAG to young people between 11 and 19 as a Personal Advisor for Connexions at Southend City Council. Delivered inspirational careers interviews for clients from grammar schools, academies and PRUs. I monitored Y11 students likely to become NEET and target them for further assessment and intervention. Where appropriate this includes working collaboratively with other services like Youth offending and Social workers. In school I have worked with the designated teacher for LAC students and had input into PEPs, as well as the SENCO and attended EHCP annual reviews. • I have supported the Careers Lead in reviewing their achievements against the Gatsby Benchmarks. Then consulted on the schools careers scheme, careers lessons and events. At one school I helped establish their work experience scheme for a small cohort of SEND students on a personalised learning pathway. I have confidently designed and presented information on education and training, and the labour market in assemblies and to parent at careers events.• More recently the Connexions careers service has expanded to cover all ages and aid the economic recovery from covid pandemic. It has been enjoyable enhancing my labour market knowledge in order to support clients who are looking for a career change or seeking work after a break. Show less
