  Assistant Operations Manger

  Responsible for planning and event management at the Wembley conference and Exhibition centre (WCEC); my role was to meet with the client to plan and organise their particular event. Ensuring the customer’s needs were met while being mindful of the profitability for each event and ensuring all legal obligations were met. Responsibilities:• Budget preparation and cost control for events within the WCEC.• Co-ordination of all staffing requirements for both internal staff and contractors e.g. Technical, Security, Merchandise, Catering and Box Office to ensure that event needs are planned and provided for in advance.• Work closely with outside agencies such as the local authority and the Police to ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are complied with.• To undertake the role of Duty Manager on the event day with overall responsibility for the venue during build up and the operation of the event through to breakdown. This also includes being the primary contact between the venue and promoter/client.Main achievements:• Responsible for budgets in excess of £200,000• Worked on the delivery of key events such as Asian Wedding Fair, Pitch Perfect in conjunction with the BBC, Marks and Spencer GM……• Responsible for setting Wembley up as a prime location for filming in 2001 through enlisting the support of the London Film Commission. This project has enabled Wembley to use its site and buildings as back drops and a set building facility for filming such as Pop Promos (including Blue, Busted, Stereophonics), TV Commercials (including Tesco's, Snickers, Nintendo GameBoy, Renault Car), TV Dramas (including 'Last Detective', 'The Cry'), Comedy (including 'Little Britain', The Catherine Tate Show) and Movies ( 'Tooth').
