About me

Dr. M. Parvez Alam, Executive Director of Crescent Innovation & Incubation Council (CIIC) and AIC - Crescent Innovation & Incubation Council (AIC-CIIC), one of the most progressive startup incubation centres in Tamil Nādu. As a recognized professional in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, I focus on fostering "deep tech" entrepreneurship across Life Sciences, Industry 4.0, Aerospace & Defence, and Smart & Clean Mobility. With over 20 years of cross-functional experience in strategy, marketing, program management, and operations. During my corporate career, I spearheaded Corporate Marketing at UCAL Group, a Tier 1 manufacturer in automotive, aerospace, and defence with $130 million annual turnover and facilities across India, USA, and Europe. My educational credentials include an engineering degree from Anna University, master's in management from Great Lakes Institute and Stuart School of Business Chicago, and a Doctor of Business Administration from SP Jain School of Global Management, Australia. CIIC has achieved remarkable success, securing $6 million funding from seven Union Ministries and Tamil Nadu Government. We've incubated 143 startups with 65 graduations, collaborated with 106 partners raising $6.14 million, and organized over 1,035 ecosystem events. Our campus expanded from 25,000 to 100,000 square feet, supporting IPR services yielding 116 University and 140 Startup IPRs. Portfolio companies created 2,100+ jobs, achieved $290 million combined valuation, $76 million sales turnover, attracted $50 million private investment, $4 million government funding, and earned 96 awards. We've strategically expanded across Chennai, Bangalore, and Madurai, fostering inclusive innovation beyond geographical boundaries. Currently, I serve as Academic Council member at Anna University & Immediate Past President of PMI Chennai Chapter, upcoming Regional Mentor for PMI South Asia (2026-2027). I'm qualified as Independent Director through Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. My certifications include PMP, PMI-ACP, DASSM, PRINCE2, CSSBB, CCIO, RTTP, and graduate of the Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators.
