Upon approval of funding, served as project champion and focal point to ensure all projects were delivered as specified. Designed a flexible, web-based Aircraft Appearance Cleaning Application. Defined approach, identified affected systems, interfaces, scope and solution. Created detailed requirements documents, including logic paths and flowcharts; report layouts, forms and web screens. Developed graphical workflows to ensure understanding of complex business rules between services. Result: New system eliminated $100,000 in annual charges associated with unauthorized and duplicated contract cleaning services.Designed an Internal Baggage Tracing system to replace a legacy mainframe system and save an estimated $350,000 in bag tracing costs annually. Defined approach, phases, parallel processes, affected systems, interfaces, scope and solution. Created detailed requirements documents and estimated transaction counts. Identified reports needed to support DOT compliance during transition phase, and coordinated Internal Audit review and signoff. Result: Internal database was successfully created and key reports were replicated in Phase I of the implementation; development is ongoing.Co-designed and co-developed a Help Desk Application for reporting, tracking and addressing issues associated with hundreds of barcode scanners deployed to Continental stations. Defined architecture, login security, database objects and scope. Defined data elements, developed tables, screens and management reports. Created symptom-based troubleshooting templates based upon application and hardware. Result: Because of its simplicity and flexibility, the application remains in use after six years and continues to function as an effective tool for managing scanner-related hardware and software issues. Paymaster for over 120 Transport Union Dispatchers and Operations Managers. Established a union employee database containing anniversary dates and current salaries. Analyzed current union contract pay schedules and submitted pay increases well in advance of effective dates; submitted semi-monthly time sheets. Worked with Department Managers and the Payroll to expedite handling of discrepancies.
