  At the time of the Berlin Wall, organic food stores were very special places in Berlin. Whether in Tegel (bourgeois urban area) or in Kreuzberg (THE scene area at that time), in the organic food shops there was a lot of talking to the customers, special requests were of course taken into account, many small suppliers delivered directly to the shop. At that time I was able to contribute to the development of the first training guidelines for employees in organic shops.

  Eichberg "Organic Vegetable Wholesale" started out as one of the first organic vegetable farms in Switzerland. Männi Mahler and a small team developed a full-range supplier, at the time the largest in Switzerland. He successively expanded range of products incl. import of organic products. At that time, almost every expansion of the product range was a small or large pioneering achievement. Here I was able to manage exciting projects (e.g. the import of vegan substitute products, which at that time were still called soy milk (and not soy drink) or peanuts from China; as well as the development of fruit base materials for the dairy or the provision of all ingredients for the first organic chocolate truffles the world (Peter von Burg "Bio Steinmann"). In 1998 the national organic regulation was introduced in Switzerland: the first organic inspection at Eichberg is unforgettable. Later Eichberg merged with 2 other specialist companies, which are still active in Seon today as "Bio Partners". Show less
