This required me to review all jobs seeking outside assistance to include local shop support and up to vendor specialists that came down to work on the submarine. I planned and coordinated over half a dozen major maintenance periods for the submarine. I kept records up to date on equipment installations and upgrades to equipment installed on board. I also was in charge of maintaining and distributing updates to maintenance procedures for over 15 work centers on board. Maintained, and worked with nuclear and non nuclear trained personnel to ensure two Fairbanks Morse Diesel engines were maintned in readiness to provide reactor safety to a unit at Naval Nuclear Power Training command. This included teaching junior personnel about the diesels and teaching them how to fill out the required records correctly. I coordinated between the Diesel Engine Inspector who came down to perform inspections and assisted him with his many inspection points. I maintained records of the diesels and had them audited to a high level of success. I helped develop a repair plan and make repairs when one of the diesels would break down. Show less
