In addition to comprehensive audiologic evaluation and management of all aspects of hearing loss and balance disorders, students are given the opportunity to learn the practical and business aspects of audiology.Population: Pediatric, adult and geriatricAdministrative Responsibilities included: hearing aid account negotiation with primary accounts, billing reconciliation, evaluating equipment orders, development of patient hearing aid costs and order/purchase agreements, ordering of supplies and equipment, implementation of outcome measures into hearing aid dispensing program.Clinical Responsibilities included: comprehensive audiologic evaluations, conditioned play audiometry (CPA), otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), immittance measurements, diagnostic ABR & ECoG, hearing aids selection, dispensing, counseling and follow up care, cochlear implants evaluation, counseling and mapping, bone-anchored cochlear stimulator evaluation, selection, dispensing and follow-up care.
