      - I started as a Courtesy Clerk while I was still in High School & after 6 months I was offered a promotion to a Checker position- I excel at learning new things fast, I memorized about 75% of all the codes in 3 months and quickly became the checker people would choose for either, fast check out & accuracy or to have a pleasant & genuine conversation after a long day of work & shopping for a week worth of groceries.- Quickly management realized my potential & eagerness to learn more & move up so they began to start teaching me multiple new positions.- They offered me the role to be the Head Clerk (Closing Manager) once they knew I was capable of finishing all the tasks that the store needed to have done before midnight but I was also offered a position in produce- I choose to forgo management & a raise to manager’s pay at 19 years of age, So I could work early (3am) in the morning & be able to work a full shift & be able to go to college as well.-After a year and half of working at my store, I had started as a courtesy clerk, got promoted to checker, and learned how to operate the phones, the tiles & memorize the most popular produce/bakery/Bulk item’s codes, thought how to operate, maintenance & fix the self-checkout area, trained on how to close the store & was the back-up Head Clerk, learned how to break down pallets of produce, organize the back room fridges & clean/rotate all the tables or wet racks before the store opened at 6am.- When I left in January of 2020, I had learned & was regularly used in 8 different positions in the store I was located at. I was my store manager’s “Golden Nugget” because if any employee RDO, took a vacation or Quit & their spot needed to be filled within the store…I was the one that filled it, till they either came back or we found a replacement. - Started as a Courtesy Clerk & Left after learning and worked as a Checker, Self-Checkout, Head Clerk, Produce, Night Crew, File Maintenance and Front-End Manager. - As a Retail Sale Associate I don't work prospects that have either sent in a lead online or have called in to our store, My job was to help customers that drive or walk in to our dealership that haven't already been in contact with another sales person.- Being a Retail Salesperson typically my entire interaction with a prospect happens face to face. I prefer it being that way because I understand that there's 131 other Honda dealerships in California that my potential prospect could choose to do business with, that have the exact same product...but none of them have a salesperson like me. Understanding that around 85% of communication is nonverbal so why I don’t try to sell the product, I sale myself. I sale my personality and my natural quick, impulsive solution solving ideas for them on certain vehicles that would fit their needs & wants after asking & listening to their answers. - As a Retail Sales Associate the skills I used daily was great customer service, great listening skills with a understanding of body language, and quick problem solving from the start of the interaction with a customer to the end. And a little touch of my humor & personality sprinkled in there.- My last year in the car selling field (2021), I held a 57% Closing Rate for the year. The month that I held the highest closing rate was in March at 73.7%.- I netted the store $226,028 of gross revenue from January of 2021 to the end of August. $120,068 on the front-end (sale/trade-ins) with the remaining $105,960 coming from the back-end (Financing/warranties) Show less
